Speaking at the CASSA Research and Collaboration Symposium

Symposium host inviting Dr. Mucsi to the podium and introducing him
Dr. Istvan Mucsi and the South Asian Cultural Project team were honoured to take part in the Council of Agencies Serving South Asians (CASSA) Research and Collaboration Symposium, hosted at the Michener Institute on Monday May 6th, 2019. The event brought together researchers and agency staff involved in coordinating services in the South Asian community. In an interactive day of presentations, discussions, and networking, attendees had the opportunity to learn more about research studies that aim to gather input from the local South Asian community and determine how to best promote research within their organizations and communities.

Dr. Mucsi, along with members of the South Asian Project team, had the opportunity to discuss the work our research team is conducting to identify barriers in access to kidney transplantation within the South Asian community and heard from a variety of agency staff about their thoughts on our research.

It was a wonderful experience for the South Asian Project team to take part in this event. We appreciated the opportunity to hear more about other research studies and network with a wide range of community partners that are interested in our work. We thank CASSA for involving us in the Symposium and for supporting our research outreach to the South Asian community.
