These preliminary results suggest that psychosocial distress is very frequent among Canadian CKD patients, especially those on maintenance dialysis Distress was significantly more prevalent in dialysis patients These pilot results warrant further investigation to determine the potential factors that contribute to increased psychosocial burden among dialysis patients A systematic approach to distress screening and management to improve outcomes in patients with advanced CLKD should be explored
